Can I drive an inductor or transformer with a PVX-series pulser?

The limitation is in the amount of current that the pulser can provide. Driving an inductor from a voltage source causes current to increase linearly, so the wider the pulse, the higher the current.

Furthermore, if the current reaches the saturation point (in a non-air-core inductor), the inductor turns into an air-core type and excessive current flows. The pulser's current limit circuit should provide protection, but in any case, driving an inductor with a voltage source won't yield a nice, square pulse shape.
